A mid 20th century set of turquoise, sapphire and diamond jewellery.

Condition Report

A mid 20th century set of diamond and gem-set jewellery. The brooch designed as a coral reef, with turquoise cabochon and single-cut diamond sea anemones and scattered sapphire accents, together with matching ear clips. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts. French assay marks. Diameter of brooch 3.3cms. Diameter of earrings 1.9cms. Weight 55.2gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One of the anemone to an earring is slightly loose.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with minor, small, scattered inclusions.
  • Turquoise are a fairly well matched light medium blue through greeny blue.
  • Sapphires are a well matched deep blue hue. Minor to moderate abrasion.
  • Brooch has a double pin fitting.
  • Earrings with hinged clip fittings for non-pierced ears.
