Description

Condition Report

An Edwardian diamond and cultured pearl cluster ring. The cultured pearl, measuring 6.2mms, with old-cut diamond surround, to the scrolling foliate shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1905. Ring size L. Weight 3.8gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Noticeable wear to outer claws.
  • Recently cleaned to a high finish.
  • Band resized, slightly out of shape.
  • Diamonds well matched and bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds have mostly small, scattered inclusions.
  • Cultured pearl is a replacement.
  • Cultured pearl a creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones, in good condition.
