Condition Report

A set of late Victorian gold garnet jewellery. The earrings each designed as a circular garnet cabochon with scrolling foliate engraved surround, tapered fringe and star motif surmount, together with matching brooch. Total garnet weight 26.53cts. Austrian marks. Length of earrings 4.7cms. Length of brooch 5.5cms. Weight 17.6gms. With associated case.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Brooch with hook fitting to reverse at centre of the fringe.
  • Earrings with hook fittings for pierced ears.
  • Earrings with maker's mark SB.
  • Garnets are a deep, sligtly brownish red hue.
