A late Victorian gold, diamond and enamel fringed brooch.

Condition Report

A late Victorian gold, diamond and enamel brooch. The vari-cut diamond and blue enamel star-set dome, inset to the rose-cut diamond, blue and white enamel star motif surround, with rope-twist highlights and snake-link fringe. Length 5.8cms. Weight 16.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement fittings. Repairs/alterations visible to the reverse.
  • Small dents to the fringe.
  • White enamel has been mostly coated/replaced.
  • Enamel with some shallow chips.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Rose-cut diamonds limit ability to estimate total diamond weight.
  • Old-cut diamond estimated weight 0.10ct.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
