A pair of early 20th century gold opal and diamond earrings.

Description

Condition Report

A pair of early 20th century gold opal and diamond earrings. Each designed as a circular-shape opal and old-cut diamond scalloped cluster, suspended from a similarly-cut diamond collet bar, with circular opal cabochon surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct. Length 4.6cms. Weight 4.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with some small scattered light and dark inclusions under 10x magnification, some surface reaching.
  • Opals are well matched with a white and very slightly yellowish body colour. Good play of colour across a range of hues.

  • Opals in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Hook fittings for pierced ears.
  • Diameter of cluster drop 1.1cms.
