Condition Report

An early 20th century gold, ruby and diamond ring. The circular-shape ruby, with graduated pear-shape diamond trefoil surmount, to the chevron band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct, principal diamond estimated 0.20ct, J-K colour, P1 clarity. Ring size J. Weight 2.3gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds bright.
  • Principal diamond in good internal clarity, with minor surface-reaching fracture.
  • Principal diamond is assessed with limitation of setting, actual colour and clarity may be different.
  • Individual size and setting of smaller diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Ruby in fair condition, with moderate abrasion to the facet edges.
