Condition Report

An early 20th century gold, enamel and gem-set brooch. The kite-shape amethyst, with white enamel and seed pearl surrounds. Length 2.1cms. Weight 4.6gms. With fitted case.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Glue can be seen to some mounts.
  • Replacement brooch fitting, base metal.
  • Amethyst in good condition with minor nibbles.

  • Estimated dimensions of amethyst 15.5 by 8.9 by 7.3mms.
  • Seed pearls are well matched, creamy white body hue, with roses and green overtones.
  • Seed pearls in good condition. Minor chipped areas to some of the drill holes.

  • Seed pearls measuring approximately 2.7mms.
  • Enamel in good condition with minor nicks.

  • Width (at widest) 33mms.
