Condition Report

LIBERTY & CO. - an Edwardian gold turquoise and pearl necklace. The graduated oval turquoise cabochon line, with pearl and similarly-set fringe and connecting swags. Length 39cms. Weight 10.3gms. With fitted case. Pearls untested.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Turquoise slightly varied in size and shape.
  • Turquoise generally with some light and dark matrix.
  • Pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Pearls are baroque.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Stamped 9ct to clasp.
  • Some sections of the chain electronically tested and register as approximately 15ct gold. Some mount components electronically tested and register as approximately 9ct gold.
  • Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
  • Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
