Condition Report
An early 19th century gold cameo brooch. Of oval outline the agate cameo carved to depict a lady in profile, with split pearl, single and rose-cut diamond surround and glazed reverse. Signed Pestrini. French assay marks. Length 6cms. Total weight 23.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- Glazed panel reverse later addition, possible replacement gems.
- Small areas of soft solder visible, signs of alteration/ repair.
- Diamonds fairly well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.
- Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight, colour and clarity assessment.
- Agate is in good condition with minor surface abrasions.
- Signed for Pietro Pestrini.
- Some areas of the later added mount are testing as low karat gold.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
