Condition Report
A 19th century gold amethyst and diamond pendant. The old and rose-cut diamond star, inset to an oval amethyst cabochon, with similarly-cut diamond bow surmount and fringe, suspended from a fancy-link chain. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts. Length of pendant 5.5cms. Length of chain 36cms. Weight 19.5gms. With re-fitted case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

- Chain is later added.
- Diamond fringe and bow surmount are adapted/ later added, soft solder visible.
- Diamonds fairly well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Diamonds with small inclusions, few minor nicks.
- Amethyst is foil back and appears a medium pinkish-purple hue, well saturated, with typical inclusions.
- Amethyst is in good condition with minor abrasions, few minor nibbles near the girdle.
