A late 19th century pearl and diamond pendant.

Condition Report

A late 19th century pearl and diamond pendant. The off-round pearl quatrefoil, suspended within a pearl and vari-cut diamond bow and floral garland surround, with later trace-link chain. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.30ct, J-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length of pendant 4.8cms. Length of chain 36cms. Total weight 9.2gms. With fitted case. Pearls untested.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Chain is a replacement with alterations to the mount, the chain mount is detachable.
  • Diamonds fairly bright and fairly well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Varied colour and inclusions, few surface reaching.
  • Some pearls replacements.
  • Pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Pearls are a creamy white hue, varied lustre, some discolouration.
