A mid Victorian gold foil-back topaz and chrysoberyl brooch. The oval-shape foil-back topaz, with pear-shape green chrysoberyl sides and scrolling surround, suspended from a similarly-set surmount. Length 5.5cms. Weight 10.5gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- With possible gem replacements.
- Soft solder trace to the reverse.
- Foil-back topaz appear a medium purplish pink, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Chrysoberyl light green, with good clarity.
- Gems in good to fair condition with minor to moderate abrasion.
