Purchasing information
The basket displays some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. The stipple engraved decoration is quite rubbed and worn. The interior was likely once gilded but this is now very faded. The handle is self supporting but falls quite easily. On one side there is a rim split near to the hinge and a possible repair. Further small solder repairs visible to the handle. Seam line visible to stem of foot. Hallmarks located to the underside of the foot and these are clear and legible, also lion passant to handle.
