Condition Report

A Victorian silver pierced open salt or dish with a blue glass liner, of circular tapering form with foliate scroll pierced sides surrounding a crested cartouche, with applied foliate scroll rim and raised on four similarly decorated feet. Hallmarked James & Nathaniel Creswick, Sheffield 1853. Height measuring 2 3/8 inches (6 cm), weight excluding liner 3.18 ozt (99 grams).

Purchasing information
    Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with the age and use. Some tarnishing to silver. Possible small repairs to base, around the join of the feet. The surface appears quite pitted or slightly eroded and uneven in certain areas. Hallmarks clear and legible with some slight rubbing. A couple of rim chips and minor nibbles to glass.
