Condition Report

A pair of 18ct gold fire opal and diamond earrings. Each designed as an oval-shape fire opal, with brilliant-cut diamond halo. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Length 1.2cms. Weight 3.8gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Minor scratches in keeping with general minimal wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Diamonds have few, small inclusions, several with surface reaching feathers.

  • Fire opals are a well matched, medium reddish orange hue, well saturated, with good clarity.
  • One fire opal with fairly substantial chip to one claw.

  • Estimated dimensions of fire opals 9 by 6.8mms and 8.8 by 6.9mms. Unable to assess depth due to setting restrictions.
  • Stamped 750 to butterflies.
  • With fixed posts for pierced ears.
