Condition Report

A Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The circular-shape sapphire, with old-cut diamond surround. Verbal from GCS, stating Sri Lanka, no heat. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 6 by 3.7mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Ring size U. Weight 2.2gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Some scratches in keeping with general wear.
  • Noticeable wear to some claws.
  • Band slightly out of shape.
  • Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
  • Diamonds well matched and bright.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
  • Diamonds with small, scattered inclusions.

  • Sapphire is a medium deep, violetish blue hue, well saturated.
  • Sapphire in good condition with a few minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Diameter of ring head 1.2cms.
