Condition Report
An early 20th century gold diamond and gem-set fly brooch. The old-cut diamond and oval-shape sapphire body, with circular-shape ruby eyes and engraved wings, atop a plain bar. Estimated diamond weight 0.35ct, H-I colour, SI clarity. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 5.6 by 4.2 by 3.1mms. Length 5cms. Weight 3.4gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Bar is a later addition, brooch possibly converted from another piece of jewellery.
- Diamond lively, with small, light, but surface reaching feather in the crown.
- Sapphire is a medium deep blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Small cavity to girdle extending into the crown.
- Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
