Condition Report

An early 20th century gold diamond, ruby and sapphire hinged bangle. Designed as a rose-cut diamond, sapphire, ruby and pink sapphire pansy, with rose-cut diamond stem, atop the plain bangle. Principal diamond weight 0.34ct. Inner diameter 5.7cms. Weight 8.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Appears to have been recently polished.
  • Possible replacement gems.
  • Total ruby weight 0.61ct. Total blue sapphire weight 0.39ct.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Principal diamond with eye-visible light inclusions.
  • Non-principal diamonds with some small inclusions under 10x magnification.
  • Rubies are a well matched medium pinkish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Blue sapphires are a well matched deep, medium slightly violets blue hue, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Length of floral cluster 1.6cms.
