A late 19th century gold amethyst necklace. Designed as a graduated circular-shape amethyst line, with partially concealed push-piece clasp. French assay marks. Length 41.5cms. Weight 33.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

- Some possible gem replacements.
- Principal gem mount with hinged loop surmount to reverse.
- Amethysts are a well matched, slightly pinkish purple hue. Slight variation in tone and saturation.
- Amethysts in good condition with minor abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges.
- Estimated dimensions of principal amethyst 11.5 (diameter) by 6.7mms. Estimated dimensions of smallest amethyst 7.3 (diameter) by 4.4mms.
- French assay marks for 9ct gold.
