Condition Report

A mid 19th century gold hardstone cameo pendant. Carved to depicting a woman in profile, within a shield-shape panel, to the textured edge and scrolling surmount. Length 4.2cms. Weight 9.3gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and with some heavy discolouration to the reverse in keeping with general wear and age. The surmount is a later addition applied with soft solder. An original brooch fitting has been removed. Suspenders for a chain have been added to the sides. The hardstone is in good condition, with some minor scratches and small nibbles to the edge.
