Condition Report

A late 19th century gold amethyst cameo pendant. The high relief foil-back amethyst cameo, carved to depict a classical portrait, within a rope-twist border, to the similarly designed tapered surmount and engraved reverse. Length 3.6cms. Weight 14.1gms.

    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The amethyst is an even medium purple with strong saturation, this carving is in good to fair condition with a chip to the very top and minor scratches and abrasion in keeping with the age of the piece.
