Condition Report

A cultured pearl single-strand necklace. Comprising fifty-two cultured pearls, measuring approximately 9 to 11.8mms, with early 19th century gold, openwork cannetille barrel clasp. Length 60cms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Clasp with some discolouration.
  • Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
  • Cultured pearls untested for natural colour origin.
  • Cultured pearls are a slightly pinkish colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Cultured pearls in good to fair condition with some abrasions, nacre damage and uneven surface features.
