Amongst the items to sell well were those that featured cultured pearls. Lots 382 and 383 were designed with the same brilliant-cut diamond pear-shape surmount with a suspended cultured pearl. The delicate pendant and earrings sold for a combined hammer price of £530.

A pair of cultured pearl Mikimoto ear pendants (lot 333) were also a favourite with bidders and sold for £700 - £300 over their lowest estimate.

Diamond rings were also highly sought after on the day. Lot 470 - a three-tier diamond cluster ring weighting 3.10cts sold way above its £280 - £380 estimate with an eventual hammer price of £700. Lot 504 - a diamond dress rig of openwork design, also estimated at £280 - £380 sold for £520.
