Congratulations Heather, Louise and Julia

The girls began their course at the School of Jewellery in September 2010. Here they learned both the theoretical and practical elements to diamond grading. The theory examination focused on the topics: geography, chemistry, formation of crystals, mining, treatment of diamonds and synthetics. The practical side required Heather, Louise and Julia to look at both the colour and clarity of the stones, different cuts, and also trying to spot the synthetic diamonds such as moissonite and cubic zirconia.

So a big well done, from everybody at Fellows!
