Bag Yourself a Birkin!
Fellows’ upcoming auction of Vintage Jewellery & Accessories on Monday 26th September is set to feature a variety of Bohemian, Victorian and Scandinavian jewellery and vintage clothing; but one of the main auction highlights has to be the range of designer handbags by names such as Chloe, Hermès, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
After the overwhelming success of Fellows’ last Vintage Jewellery & Accessories auction in June which featured an impressive selection of Louis Vuitton shoes, bags and belts Fellows now have an even bigger selection of items for their next sale.
The main lots in this section of the auction are the highly sought after classic Hermès Birkin handbags which have had an alleged waiting list of up to three years in the past. The two Italian togo leather Birkin bags in Chocolate and Black are likely to create plenty of interest - particularly for ladies who want to jump the queue.
The Hermes Jige crocodile skin clutch bag in orange is also likely to sell well with an estimate price of £1,200 - £1,500.
Other handbags include a Chloe Paddington in tan, notoriously sported by celebrities such as Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, estimate £200 - £300 and a Gucci Heritage Boston bag in pony skin, estimate £400 - £600. For larger travel sized bags, there is a Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 monogram canvas estimated at £200 - £300.
The designer handbag section has over 30 lots and starts at Lot 834 in the Vintage Jewellery & Accessories auction on Monday 26th September at 10am.
