A Classic 1960's Rolex Daytona Wrist Watch
In the 1960’s Rolex gave its chronograph model a major facelift, introducing the Rolex Cosmograph. With its accuracy and unique ability to calculate the average lap speed of racing cars, the original 1961 Rolex Cosmograph became known as the Daytona through its association with racing and the great track.
This particular stainless steel manual wind gentleman’s Rolex Cosmograph Dayton, circa 1960, comes complete with the original service receipt from Rolex and a later instruction booklet. With the Valjoux cal 72 movement this Rolex Daytona is extremely rare and very collectable.
