Smythson

Founded in 1887 by Frank John Smythson on London’s Bond Street, the brand became renowned for its luxury stationery and leather goods. Smythson’s 'Featherweight' diary, introduced in 1908, revolutionised portable stationery with its flexible design and signature blue pages, winning the favour of high-profile clients like Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill. Over the years, the brand earned multiple Royal Warrants, cementing its status as a symbol of British elegance.

While primarily known for stationery, Smythson also created iconic leather goods such as the 'Bond Street Bag' and the 'Nancy' collection, which fused classic and contemporary styles. Under the direction of Creative Directors like Samantha Cameron and Luc Goidadin, Smythson continues to blend heritage designs with modern interpretations.

Today, Smythson remains committed to eco-friendly production and artisanal craftsmanship in Italy. Although it closed its Bond Street flagship in 2024, the brand continues to operate at prominent locations like Sloane Street, Selfridges, and Harrods, preserving its legacy of luxury for future generations.
