Lot Description

HEUER - a base metal manual wind dash mounted early Monte Carlo twelve hour stop watch, circa 1960, the black dial with Arabic five minute divisions and aperture for twelve hour recording at six o'clock, with bi-directional bezel, case numbered around from the 50 marker, fitted with three buttons governing start/stop and winding, reset and hour disk advance, case is attached to a steel mounting plate stamped ED. HEUER & CO above SWISS. Case diameter 56mm. Together with authentic box.


The three button Monte Carlo was introduced in the late 1950's to replace the Autavia and is the earliest model of the range. The first pusher advances the hour jumping dial, the crown facilitates winding and when depressed governs the start and stop functions, and the last activates the fly back reset.

Heuer stop watch, mechanical wind, movement is currently functioning, dial has some faint marks and scratches, Arabic minute divisions are discoloured due to age and the hands are starting to corrode, glass has some scratches although could possibly be polished as it is a plexi glass.

Case is scratched and has some dints as do the push buttons. Mounting plate is heavily scratched and dinted and has what appears to be a dried glue residue left behind from where the watch has previously sat.


Together with an authentic box that has some wear and tear and is discolouring in places.
