Lot Description

A 1930's silver salver with central personal engraving, raised Chippendale style rim and raised above four hoof feet. Hallmarked Mappin & Webb Sheffield 1933. Diameter measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm), weight 29 ozt  (908 grams).

The salver is in very good condition commensurate with age and use displaying general marks, scratches and tarnishing to the whole. There is some minor polish build up along the raised rim as well as some shallow dents and pitting to raised areas. There appears to be some water marks to the surface which will need cleaning. The engraving is clear and crisp, maker's mark and hallmark are clear and legible.
