Lot 551

Lot Description

An early 20th century manual wind pendant watch, the silvered oval dial with black Arabic numerals and inner minute track, bezel set with rose cut diamonds and synthetic sapphires, floral and scroll engraved case, seventeen jewel movement with Swiss lever escapement. Case diameter 14mm.

The case has marks, knocks, and small dents throughout, one of the blue sapphires has a small chip to the edge, the dial has surface marks and a few speckles, the minute hand looks to be a replacement, the movement has also been replaced at some point with a later mechanical wind model (1960s period), which is smaller than the original would have been so the inner bezel has been fitted with a rubber seal to help combat this, the movement is currently running but would benefit from a service, the hand set function is working ok.
