Lot Description
A composite diamond and cultured pearl bar brooch, with a 19th century diamond and cultured pearl cluster on a later added bar brooch set with six further pearls. Estimated old European cut diamond weight 0.65cts, colour H/I, clarity SI2/P1. Length of brooch 7.3cms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition in keeping with age. The diamond is bright and lively. Two large internal fractures can be seen under the central table facet. Areas of the nacre to the pearls is broken. Blisters and blemishes are also present. The principal cluster and further stones have been attached to the bar brooch with soft solder. A repair is also evident to the edge of the 19th century cluster.
