Lot Description

An opal and diamond set brooch, comprising seven graduated oval opal cabochons each interspaced with three old European cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60cts, colour H/I, clarity SI1/P1. Length 7.1cms. With box.

The brooch is generally in good condition. Strong red, orange, yellow and green play of colour can be seen to all seven opals. A slight 'scuff'/scratches can be seen to a few of the opals, one in particular. The diamonds are bright and lively. The brooch pin and clasp are in good working order. Some claws to the settings are slightly worn. Minor surface wear can be seen.
