Lot Description

An 19th century pear shaped emerald adapted pendant, within a filigree frame and closed back setting, with a half pearl suspender on an associated chain with pearl spacers. (Later adapted as a pendant). Length 4.5cm .Length of chain 45cms.

The pendant and chain are in overall good condition. The pendant has a an associated surmount and chain that are a later addition to the pendant drop. The emerald displays minor Inclusions that do not greatly affect the light passing into the stone. Small nibbles are present to some of the facet edges. The deepness of the stone and the foil backing gives it a strong vivid green. The mount has incurred wear in keeping with age and is need of a careful clean.
