The Edwardian oval silver tea caddy shows wear and tear scratches commensurate to the age of the piece, there is some pitting to the silver in places, there are small deep scratches around the whole edge of the caddy opening. The lid wobbles slightly on its hinge and closes off centre. The solder join is becoming visible, and there is some tarnishing, particularly to crevices. There is some loss of detail to the top of the fluting, and a large dint to the back of the tea caddy, this is in the fluted section making it slightly less noticeable. The tea caddy wobbles slightly on its base. It is stamped K to the base, the hallmark is rubbed but legible and there's a corresponding hallmark to the lid.
