Lot 83

Lot Description

Pair of Edwardian silver bud vases of tapered and embossed form. Hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes Chester 1906. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The Edwardian silver bud vases have filled bases, their detailing is quite rubbed from polishing and the interior would benefit from a clean. There are light general wear and tear surface scratches and the solder joins are becoming visible, also with some small light patches of tarnishing. There is a noticeable dent to the edge of one of the bases. The height of the rims wave up and down slightly, possibly as made but maybe slightly misshapen. The hallmarks are rubbed, particularly the makers mark, but legible.
