Victorian multi gem crescent design bar brooch.

Lot Description
A Victorian multi gem crescent design bar brooch, circa 1900, with a central old European cut diamond cluster surrounded by a sapphire and diamond open crescent having ruby, sapphire and split pearl trefoil trefoil terminations. With later attached pendant fitting. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80cts. Length 4.4cms. Weight 6.49gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. The sapphires are all quite well matched in colour, there is abrasion to the facet edges of some and there is angular colour zoning visible to some with magnification. There are scratches and quite serious areas of discolouration to the bar in places that would need attention. The pin has been replaced at a later date and is metal.
