Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold opal and split pearl pendant, the central oval cabochon opal is collet set and surrounded by split pearl foliate detail with suspended opal termination on a later associated rope link chain. Length of pendant (including suspender) 4.5cms, width 2.7cms.

The pendant is in good condition. The opals have a good play of colour displaying pinks, greens and blues, the split pearls are well matched with a nice bright lustre. There are slight scratches to the gold in keeping with the age of the piece. The chain is modern and not hallmarked or stamped.
