Lot 232

Lot Description

A 9ct gold manual wind lady's Benson bracelet watch, the silvered dial with hourly gilt dots and quarterly Arabic numerals all surrounded by an outer minute track, the plain rectangular with obtuse cut corners style case hallmarked Birmingham circa 1947 numbered 52961 and 158729 with an expandable bracelet, fitted with a similarly styled signed 15 jewel movement. Case width 14mm.

Movement is currently functioning but would benefit from an overhaul. The case shows general signs of wear with light scratches, marks and tarnishing, the majority of which appear to be superficial and should polish out, bracelet would be ameliorated by a clean. Glass possesses some light scratches, dial and hands are tarnished but the detail still appears sharp.
