Lot Description

A 1960's silver mounted hinged cigarette box of rectangular form, with engine turned decoration raised above rounded feet, with an engraved presentation to the front side and an applied stylised lion crest to the lid. Hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1967. Length measures 8 inches (20.5 cm). Together with a silver handled shoe horn of elongated pear form, with engine turned decoration and stylised initial engraving. (2).

The shoe horn has a tarnished handle and the handle spins round, the gilt on the shoe horn is very rubbed and cracked.


The cigarette box is in a fair condition the hinge is in working order and it closes flush, the box stands flat on the table. The wooden and velvet interior is in a good condition. There are some areas of gathered polish to edges and detailing.
