Lot Description
A large silver sugar caster of baluster form, on circular footed base, the detachable lid pierced with stylised scroll and foliate motifs. Hallmarked S.Blanckensee & Son, Birmingham 1934. Approximate height 8 1/4 inches (21cm), weight 5.57 ozt (173.3 grams).

Condition Report
There is general wear and minor surface marks and scratches in keeping with the age of the item.
There are some minor dents and two much larger dents in the metal on the bulbous part of the main body.
The inside of the caster and the inside rim of the detachable lid need a good clean - there are still remnants of leftover sugar.
The hallmarks and maker's marks on the main body are clear. The part hallmarks on the lid are also clear.
