Lot Description
A 1920's Art Deco silver cigarette case signed Cartier 5009, the rectangular hinged body with fine reeding and canted corners opening to reveal a gilt interior. Hallmarked William Frederick Wright London 1927, also numbered to the underside M6372. Measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm) by 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 9.65 ozt (300 grams).

Condition Report
The cigarette box displays wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. There is a shallow dint to the top right hand corner of the lid and another positioned below the hinge to one side, also positioned close a more noticeable scratch. The gilding displays general dicolouration and wear particularly in areas of contact. Hallmarks and signatures are all clear and legible apart from the makers mark to the lid which is rubbed.
