Lot Description

An early 20th century bug brooch and a cultured pearl necklace, the brooch to include a principal bug set with ruby and seed pearls above three similar suspended bugs and a single row cultured pearl necklace on a ribbed design clasp. Stamped 375. Length of necklace 41cms. Weight 25gms.

Condition Report

Both items are in overall good condition. The rubies are well matched. They have a strong hue with even colour saturation. Inclusions can be seen. The seed pearls have pitted surfaces. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear. The cultured pearls set to the necklace have a cream to white hue with pink over tones.
