Lot Description

Victorian silver cream jug of squat form, the bulbous body engraved with a band of acanthus scrolls, crested cartouche, scrolling handle and gilt interior. Hallmarked William Moulson London 1844. Height measuring 4 inches (10 cm), weight 7.4 ozt (231 grams).

Condition Report

The cream jug displays wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Interior gilding worn. Shallow denting visible in and around the second vacant cartouche. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
