Lot Description
An Edwardian 9ct gold vesta case, rectangular shaped with a curved outer frame and central engraved eagles head. Hallmarks for Sheffield 1905. Length 4.2cms, width 3.6cms. Weight 19.77gms.

Condition Report
The vesta is in overall fair condition. There are slight scratches to the vesta in keeping with the age of the piece, there are also some shallow nicks to the edges. The hinge is quite stiff and the lid closes very near flush. The hallmarks are a little rubbed, particularly the makers mark, but are still legible. The engraving still shows good detail. The solder joins to the edges are visible. The inside and base shows some tarnishing and gathered polish.
