A Victorian brooch, circa 1870, the curved buckle design is on an oval frame set with foil backed garnets and split pearls with attached tassel drop and hair panel to the reverse. Length including tassel 11cm. Weight 21.9 gms.

Condition Report
Overall fair condition, there are areas of tarnishing, surface scratches visible in keeping with the age of the piece. There are some small nicks and dints to the piece and some small splits to a few edges and joins, there is also a small split to the back of one of the settings. There is a mark to the reverse where it looks to have been acid tested. There is a gap to the edge of the hair panel and visible dirt inside. There are two broken spacer posts to the top of the brooch between the oval frame and the curved buckle design section. Some of the garnets have minor abrasion and small nicks. There is also a safety chain attached. The three garnets at the top are a purpley colour, and the two at the bottom are more of a red colour.
