A 19th century stick barometer. The mahogany case with mercury glass filled tube and thermometer scale, the ivory scale with black divisions and marked Yeates & Sons opticians Dublin. 34.5" (88cm) tall

The case is in good condition although the colour has faded. There is a crack and a small area of damage behind the bulbous reservoir. The metal fittings have corroded and some have damage. The ivory scales are slightly bowed, one has a very small crack to its edge. The engraved and painted details are slightly faded and worn
