Lot Description

A mid 20th century opal and diamond ring, the central oval cabochon opal is in a six claw setting flanked by three diamond points. Length of opal 1.15cms, width 0.75cms. Stamped plat & 9ct. With inner personal engraving.

The ring is in overall good condition. There are some scratches and fine surface reaching fractures to the opal. The opal has a good play of colour displaying pinks, greens and blues. The diamond points are quite dull and chipped and the claws appear worn. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the piece. The personal engraving reads' DKM MPMCA 11.11.47'. Ring Size Q.
