Lot Description

Three brooches, to include an early/mid 20th century 9ct gold peridot and split pearl bar brooch, a Victorian 9ct gold red gem and split pearl heart and bow design bar brooch (hallmarks for Chester 1896) and a 9ct gold split pearl set bar brooch. Total weight 6.55gms.

Total lot weight: No

The brooches are in overall good condition. There is abrasion to the peridot visible with magnification, the outer split pearls are fairly well matched, there are slight scratches to the brooch and pin. The split pearls in the Victorian brooch appear a little worn and grey in body colour, there are slight scratches to the brooch and an area of discolouration to the indented back, the hallmark is rubbed yet legible. The centre to the other bar brooch appears to have been added at a later date, the centre panel hallmarked to the reverse, the pin is metal and has possibly been replaced.
