Lot Description

A Victorian 15ct gold diamond brooch circa 1890, the central raised square panel with an old European cut diamond cluster surrounded by detailed gold work and openwork scroll patterning. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1897. Length of brooch 5.3cms. Weight 8.64gms. Central diamond chipped. With associated case.

The brooch is in overall fair condition. The central diamond to the cluster is chipped, all settings would need to be checked. There are slight scratches to the brooch in keeping with the age of the piece, there is dirt and discolouration to the detail in places. The pin is metal and bent. The case is heavily worn to the outside and better condition inside.
