Lot Description

An early 20th century cameo stickpin and a late Victorian diamond ring, the oval cameo head depicting the profile of a gentleman, the late Victorian ring is claw set with three brilliant cut diamonds. Hallmark for Chester 1898, weight 1.9gms.

The cameo stickpin would definitely benefit from a clean, it is in a fair condition, with light surface scratches and nicks to the metal, there is a significant amount of loss of detail to the cameo, and noticeable wear to a section of the collet setting. There is a bend to the very tip of the pin. There is minor wear to the interior of the fitted case and noticeable wear to the exterior particularly the bottom section, in keeping with the age of the piece.


The ring is in fair to good condition, with noticeable surface scratches and minor nicks, solder joins can be seen to both sides of the ring shank below the shoulders with some pitting to both. There is some minor pitting appearing to solder joins to the top of the ring. The paste stones are fairly abraded to their facet edges. Ring size N 1/2.
